Ron Cyrus, late father of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, will be honored with the Warren Zevon “Keep me in Your Heart” Memorial Tribute at the 2011 Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) Conference in April. Billy Ray Cyrus will be accepting the award on his father’s behalf; Ron died of mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure, in 2006. Ron Cyrus served with the U.S. Air Force and in the Kentucky House of Representatives for 21 years, dedicating his life to public service.
