Father Paddles the Hudson River to Raise Peritoneal Mesothelioma Awareness

Linda Wells, a resident of Mechanicville, New York, was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma nine years ago. At that time, doctors estimated that she would live for one year, but Linda is still fighting against the deadly cancer today. Her father took to the river last month to raise awareness of the disease, paddling 16 miles from Schuylerville to Mechanicville in a kayak with a small group of friends. He plans to make the trip bigger and better next year, and every year after.
