KSAT-12 reported on March 8, 2018 that 21-year-old Tarik Ross was shot after meeting the suspect in the 5300 block of Sherry Drive in southwest San Antonio.

San Antonio police sources said the suspect contacted Ross because he was looking to buying the vehicle. Police spokesman Carlos Ortiz said investigators believe an argument ensured during the meeting and shots rang out.

Police said bullets struck Ross as he was reversing his vehicle.

Ortiz said police investigators found at least three bullet holes in Ross’s vehicle. A woman and a child were also in the car during the shooting, but were not injured.

Ross died of his wounds at University Hospital. The suspect fled the scene in a cream-colored, two door Cadillac and was last seen driving southbound on Sherry Drive according to police.
