Stephanie Brooks was born in Germany while her father was serving military duty on behalf of the United State’s Air Force. Upon her father’s completion of his service, her family returned to the United States to make a home in a small central Texas town where she spent her days riding and showing horses. After finishing law school in West Texas, Stephanie embarked on her legal career trying cases on behalf of one of the country’s most profitable corporations. Representing big corporations, Stephanie quickly learned that in order to be successful, she would have to master the art of deflecting corporate liability and trivializing the pain and suffering of individuals hurt through corporate negligence. Realizing that this was not her calling, Stephanie switched tables in 2001 and joined a plaintiffs’ firm. Since that time, Stephanie has devoted her practice to toxic tort litigation representing individuals who have been injured as a result of exposure to toxic chemicals. She has litigated a variety of toxic tort cases across the country including cases involving exposure to dioxins, arsenic, chromium, lead, and benzene. In addition to her toxic tort practice, she has also litigated products liability, premises liability, and pharmaceutical cases.

For her career accomplishments, in 2005 and 2006, she was named to the Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media’s list of “Texas Rising Stars.”
